"Windows media player" and "Windows Messenger"

I know that outlook uses windows messenger to work but i really am pissed off with the amount of problems i get due to theese 2 programs.

my system was fine until one day i was clumsy with my windows update and downloaded media player. when you try and uninstall it its still there and its library files are all loaded up in memory still.

u can stop their services so they dont run anymore

in msconfig (start -> run and type msconfig)

also try some registry cleaners, they can remove some of the files media player leaves behind

although they are pretty much built into windows so will always leave some files around the place, not much u can do i think

Tried that already, but as soon as you use an application that uses msn framework, it kindly installs / enables windows messenger and media player. why cant they just fuck off!!!
